Course Goals
 This course is designed to introduce students to the study of Turkish politics and foreign policy with a unique perspective on its relations with the Middle East. It aims to provide the students with an informed understanding of the key issues for Turkey in light of the post-Cold War developments through a comprehensive analysis of Turkish foreign policy and regional security challenges. To this end, the course will focus on Turkey’s relations with Israel and the Arab states to present a ground for an informed debate on Turkey's position on the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Prerequisite(s) Turkey and the Arab-Israeli conflict; Turkey's relations with Israel and Arab countries.

Special Requisite(s) It will be helpful for the student to have enough knowledge of English to follow the lectures, participate in the discussions and do the readings, if he/she has taken a foreign policy analysis course before.
