Course Goals

This course Diplomatic history since 1648 provides students with a comprehensive study of major events and themes in world history. This course is a survey of world history starting from 17th century (Westphalia) to the end of the 19th century. This course covers the important developments, pathbreaking events from the West to the East. By doing so, the course aims to develop students’ historical thinking skills and acknowledgment about the roots of the international system.
