Course Goals	This course aims to develop student teachers' practical skills in using literary texts in EFL classrooms for two major purposes: helping their students appreciate literary works and offering English language practice based on selected texts.

Learning Outcomes LO-1 Students will be aware of the ways in which films can be analysed (plot, characterisation, use of camera angles etc) LO-2 Students will be able to develop the ability to judge the value of materials and activities in relation to purpose and text. LO-3 Students will be able to develop the appropriate skills to design lessons based on poems. LO-4 Students will be able to plan and prepare theme-related and language-focused activities for a whole book. LO-5 Pre-service teachers will be able to plan and prepare effective lessons based on short stories.
