Course Goals
The goal of Spanish III class is:

- To teach students to use "Pretérito Perfecto" and "Pretérito Indefinido" past tenses (regular and irregular verbs),

- To describe past experiences and provide information about their lives (biographies), and,

- To describe their plans for the future.

Program Outcomes
PO-1Possess knowledge about the theories on children’s, adolescent’s and adults’ physical, emotional, cognitive and ethical development characteristics and applies the methods to solve problems that appear within that domain.
PO-2Design, develop and apply plans and activities on psychological counseling and guidance targeted to rehabilitate teachers, administrators, parents and individuals to accord with their corresponding institutions.
PO-3Understand the assessment criteria and the methods in the field of Psychological Counseling and Guidance and can apply these purposefully and evaluate their outcomes.
PO-4Possess the knowledge of professional ethics and the legal obligations while providing guidance service and follows the progress and performs within its limits.
PO-5Respect all who wants to benefit from the guidance services without discriminating on the grounds of religion, language, race, social class, belief and ideas and tries to support them by paying close attention to the cultural differences.
PO-6Put their skills on research, inquiry, critical thinking, entrepreneurship and creativity into use for solving problems faced both in professional life and the daily life.
PO-7Distinguish the pathological cases from the regular cases and correctly identify behavioral and pathological problems and redirects the cases to the related institutions when necessary.
PO-8Form joint work, run projects and plan activities with colleagues, teachers, administrators, families, social organizations, diverse group of individuals and institutions to help support students’ development and learning.
PO-9Make use of their technological knowledge and cognitive abilities in following the professional advancements, in literature review, in research and data analysis, in creating plans and various other professional activities.
PO-10Possess knowledge on learning theories, on the ways in which learning is initiated, on what the effective learning strategies are, and on how these strategies are applied inside and outside the classroom settings and facilitates appropriate environments and organizes programs to this end to support effective individual and group learning.
PO-11Gain practical skills to perform individual and group psychological counseling to the counselees in the process of identifying individual specific goals, in helping problem solving, in understanding self and developing character.
PO-12Possess knowledge on special education and identifies individuals in need of special education, and creates individualized educational programs and redirects related cases to the relevant institutions.
PO-13Help students in their career plans, possesses skills in doing the necessary research for helping students understand the nature of various professions and making the right choices for themselves.
PO-14Possess the technical information for gathering data about the student, for getting to know the student and in helping the students get to know themselves, and possesses the knowledge of putting their skills on effective communication into use such as listening, posing questions and supporting the case.
PO-15Take charge in social service efforts with an understanding of the social responsibilities.
PO-16Present the knowledge and skills acquired within the academic framework of the Psychological Counseling and Guidance program by making links to the interdisciplinary themes and the information on research and inquiry techniques.
