Course Goals



This course aims to introduce the student to visual teaching in the field of cinema and television. Students will be introduced to the concepts of visual perception and the physical formation of the image; perception of light, color, form and perspective; perceptual continuity and illusion, and will investigate them through the camera, produce examples and discuss their visual effects.

Based on the formation of light and image, the emphasis is on image composition. Along with the introduction and use of technical materials such as camera, camera and lighting equipment, shooting angles and scales, camera movements, etc. are comprehended with applications in order to comprehend the narrative language of cinema.
