Course Goals


The aim of the course is to show how music gained importance in film with the passage to sound film, the effects it has had on communicating the message of the film, and the types of music according to genre. What kind of effect does music leave on audiences in drama, romantic comedies, horror, documentary and science fiction; the use of orchestra, and how it becomes one with the film, famous musicals, tunes and its place in the media and the functionality of music.
