Course Goals
Aim of the Building Science Courses is to have students develop understanding building system, acquire skill in system selection and set up. Particularly, content of the Building Science II course deals with giving information about functional building elements of building subsystems. Functional building elements included by the building subsystems will be studied in Building Science II. Foundation systems; Exterior wall systems; Interior wall systems; Floor systems; Roof Systems; Vertical circulation systems will be studied in detail with their performance requirements, criterias and principles that effective on choosing and design. Students are made to use theoretical information in practice by making technical drawings during the course.

Special Requisite(s) According to the Decision No. 2 of the Faculty Board of Faculty of Architecture, No 2017-2018 / 4 dated 06.03.2018; it is imperative that students attend at least 70% of theoretical courses and at least 80% of all practical courses outside of theoretical courses. Students who can not attend the semester can not take the final exam
