Course Goals
This course starts with Architecture and Art during Renaissance Period and covers the period until Art Nouveau and the birth of modernism. The styles and movements starting with Renaissance in Europe as well as the architectural movements and influences seen in the Ottoman Classical Period and thereafter are presented to the students with visual content. Important symbolic buildings in different styles during this period, will be covered in detail by plan, facade, construction technique and materials, interior space features and other architectural characteristics.

PO-2PÇ2. Owns to set up a substructure for design proposals for people and community oriented , cultural sensitible and environmental genesis in the related field.

Learning Outcomes
LO-1 To understand the history of interior architecture, furniture design and art movements and related cultural factors
LO-2 To understand and to discuss architecture and interior architecture in relation to cultural factors and artistic features
LO-3To introduce space planning issues from the view point of architectural history
LO-4 To study the Western Architecture, starting from the Classical Period at Ottoman Architecture.
LO-5 To understand and to discuss architecture and plastic arts from the view point of architectural history
