This course focuses on the health centered aspects of psychology rather than traditional mental disease models. Topics include the nature and measurement of happiness, the biological basis of positive emotions, an overview of positive trait theories, self-esteem, the mind-body connection, gratitude, emotional intelligence, volunteerism, decision-making, and the characteristics of successful relationships.
