Course Goals
  The aim of this course is to provide an overview of the main issues and concepts in the study of sociology. After a presentation of the basic tools of sociological thought, the history of sociology and its relationship with other sciences (especially, with psychology), we will examine the methods of research in sociology, the main concepts in the study of modern society, and the concepts such as “globalization” and “postmodern”. Finally, we will discuss some “special topics” in sociology.
