Course Goals
The goals of this course are to allow students to gain skills enabling them to use a computer comfortably and effectively; to provide students with the skills to effectively use commonly used office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and also with the SPSS package which is used in data analysis; thereby to introduce them with software which they will need both in education and in their careers.

Learning Outcomes
LO-1 The student reviews the historical evolution of computers; he/she understands how computer works and the logic behind them. LO-2 The student creates high quality documents and reports using Microsoft Word program. LO-3 The student gains the ability to organize data sets, perform calculations on data, create tables and charts using Microsoft Excel program. LO-4 The student prepares high quality presentations that include text, picture and video using Microsoft Powerpoint program. LO-5 The student performs basic statistical analyses using SPSS program and gains the ability to comment on results. LO-6 The student gains the ability to find appropriate ways to store and manage documents and data on computer environment.
