Despite regulations to the law being added, amended or withdrawn we see today that the existence of gender inequality continues in most fields. One reason for this may be that the objectives of those regulations were never attained, and the effect of those regulations had differed from or did not meet the original criteria. In this course it will be looked into why things have not changed much for ‘gender equality’ today and possible problems with the objectives and execution of regulations. Also it will be looked deeply into the Turkish legal system in the light of feminist legal theory, putting forth suggestions on how a 'gender equal legal system' could be attained.
