Course Goals
In MTS II studio, it is aimed to transfer and develop the sense of environment / place and space with a design problem consisting of closed, open / semi-open spaces with simple programs. In this context, it is expected that taking part in studio works as an individual or group member and all projects in the studio are open to sharing and criticism, will be effective in the development of student's social and architectural communication skills.

Teaching Methods and Techniques Architectural Design Studio II consists of successive design studies. Environment-space relationship, interior-exterior space interaction, concepts such as spatial integrity and continuity are discussed and spatial analyses are made.   During the studio process, environmental aspects regarding the natural and built environment, simple structural systems and building materials, are discussed in the context of the design problem; and field trips are organized with the aim of increasing environmental awareness.   Students are encouraged to participate actively in the studio process as individuals or team members. Sharing all studies in the discussion platform created in the studio and being subject to debate and criticism helps to develop students’ communication skills. Attending architectural conferences, reading and writing architectural texts, develops reading and writing skills in the context of design.
