Program Objectives
Radio, Television and Cinema graduate program aims to strengthen the academic and practical studies in film, and targets to educate film and television researchers and practitioners who would produce in this field.
Radio, Television and Cinema graduate program integrates cinema and television research and production. The program's international collaborations, academic and industry integration, and research-production partnerships will bring our country to the forefront of international arts and academic fields.
EstablishmentThe Graduate Program in Radio, Television and Cinema was opened in the 2017-2018 academic year. Student admission started in 2018-2019.

Admission and Registration RequirementsAdmission Requirements for Graduate Program in Radio, Television and Cinema;
· Having an undergraduate degree.
· Academic Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) results taken within the last three years showing that the candidate took at least 55 points from any point type.
· Valid results in the Science exam and Interviews that are held in the program entry by the department.
General success grade in admission to the MS program is as follows; 50% of the ALES score, 20% of the graduation grade and 20% of the science exam (written exam and interview), and 10% of one of the language exam scores accepted by the universities in Turkey are taken into consideration. Candidates who receive a grade of 65 and above, are listed and accepted according to the quota. Additionally, if there are applicants who provide the requirements yet not manage to get into the list, the department can declare an additional quota which can be up to half of the quota.

Graduation Requirements Students should complete successfully the required credits (120 ECTS) and thesis with a minimum of 2.70 over 4.
International CooperationsIstanbul Kültür University is a member of CILECT (World Cinema Schools Association). In this context, our graduate program cooperates with CILECT.
Occupational Profiles Of Graduates Apart from having an academic career, graduates can be employed in the media and cinema sectors.
Access to Further Studies Students who complete MA Programme with success can apply to PhD Programmes of the Departments of Cinema and Television or several other departments. Students successful in ALES, YDS or an equivalent exam, science exam and interview have a chance to be accepted to PhD education.
Departmental FacilitiesThe Faculty of Arts and Design, of which the program is a part, benefits from a total area of 3000 m² and lecture halls in common use by the university. In the faculty there are 24 classrooms, 13 of which are 30 m², 10 classrooms with an area of 45 m² and 1 big classroom that has 80 m² floor space. All classrooms have projection systems and internet connection. The faculty have a capacity of 650 students together with the classes in common use by the university. The faculty also presents an art center, gallery and studios. Istanbul Kültür University Ataköy Campus Library is a large and two storey library that can serve 170 people and is built on an area of 560m². The library has a capacity of 25,000 volumes that increases regularly. The Şirinevler Campus Library has a capacity of 75 people and a shelf capacity of 15,000 and has a closed area of 300m².
Program Activities Lectures will be carried with presentations and discussions. In addition, we expect the MA students to write scientific articles.
