International Politics of the EU

Course Goals
 This course is designed to provide students with the basics of the international politics of the EU.  The first section examines the nature of the EU foreign policy, the EU identity, the historical and institutional evolution of the EU integration supported by theoretical perspectives. The second part analyzes the EU´s place in the world as a normative, military/security and economic power with examples from various policy areas. The last section explains international politics of the EU in its neighborhood and the EU´s relations with major powers.
