Course Goals
The course introduces participants to the essential components of scientific research design and statistical methods that can be used to summarise, analyse and interpret scientific data. Practical examples across all of the scientific disciplines are used in lectures and tutorials.

2. Week Basic concepts and definitions; definition of science, aim and requirements, knowledge and scientific approaches and classifications. Oral and written presentations.
3. Week Scientific system; Process and elements of scientific system, issues, concepts, rules and theorems. Oral and written presentations.
4. Week Scientific research and researcher; scientific research and characteristics, scientific research categories, the charactreistics of scientist and researcher. Oral and written presentations.
5. Week Scientific research process; determination of research topic, literatur search and survey, influential factors. Oral and written presentations.
6. Week Scientific research process; Formulation of hypothesis, determination of research method and technique. Oral and written presentations.
7. Week Scientific research process; Realization of research, planning and project design, hypothesis testing, inferring and interpretation. Oral and written presentations.
