This course will give an overview on associated concepts and technologies of Wearable and Ubiquitous Computing such as; wearable/mobile devices and embeddable sensors for entertainment, personal communication, healthcare, education and many other aspects of our everyday lives, and wireless sensor networks. It will aim to build a solution for particular subjects such as activity recognition, low power design, location and context awareness, privacy and security issues in this rising field. Reflections of current technological developments in this domain will be exemplified using the R and Python programming languages. Students are expected to design, implement, and/or evaluate a wearable computing device or application.
