The aim of the course is to introduce real-time systems and the methods of analysis and design. In the scope of this course, the definition of dependent/independent and real-time tasks will be provided. The students will learn the definition of time constraints, schedulers, analysis and comparison schedulers. A comparison will be provided between real-time and conventional operating systems. The programming languages for real-time systems will be introduced. Some of the issues that will be covered consist of; design of real-time systems, applications, embedded, wireless, distributed and pervasive information systems and fault tolerance.
