This course is concerned with understanding “light and color “ and its implications for the built environment. It includes an exploration of the physical and perceptual nature of light and also color theory, the physiological, psychological and emotional impact of light and color on space perception. Light and color as essential elements of the design process, will be considered in its relationship to form and space by emphasizing lighting techniques, color models, color schemes and computer simulation programs and advances of technology.
