Polyamines

Course CodeSemester Course Name LE/RC/LA Course Type Language of Instruction ECTS
FMG0003 Polyamines 3/0/0 DE Turkish 7
Course Goals
It is aimed to teach at first the chemical structures, biosynthesis and catabolism of the polyamines and  then it is going to be discuss the relations   of them with cell cycle events, apoptosis, and the roles of polyamines in different cancer types.  The objective of this course also is to teach the role of polyamine biosynthetic inhibitors and analogues in different cancer types and their biomarker evaluation in cancer prognosis and in therapeutics.  In addition it is aimed to teach their role in plant growth and development and stress.  Therefore on basis these polyamine backround students going to be able to  learn and to design their research projects in  different types of cancer and plants on molecular level and  also they can be able to use polaymines as molecular tool  in cancer treatments.
