This course aims at providing the student with the basic tools of conducting research and writing
papers in international relations. The course is divided into four sections. The first part of the
course examines why do research and presents the basic foundations of research design/plan in
international relations. The second part presents quantitative data collection and analysis, while
the third part focuses on qualitative data collection and analysis. The last section provides
guidance in writing research papers by an assignment for the students.
