Program Objectives
In an intense competitive environment, Program aims to train solution-oriented specialists in foreign trade, where to respond the move of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) turning to emerging markets export, armed with practical information on foreign trade, dominated in customs laws.
Students who graduate from the program, is going to have theoretical and practical information on Foreign Trade.
EstablishmentIstanbul Kültür University, Vocational School, Foreign Trade Program was founded in 2008, and accepted its first students in 2008-2009 academic year and gave its first graduates in 2010.
The program has begun its academic activities in Şirinevler Campus, along with the increasing number of students, since the 2009-2010 academic year, education continues in İncirli Campus.
Nilgün Demirhan has been the director of the program since the establishment.
Qualification AwardedStudents who have successfully completed all courses and had at least 120 ECTS, has the associate degree.
Language of Instruction The medium of education is Turkish.

Admission and Registration RequirementsVocational School, Foreign Trade Program ÖSYM the central placement exam is taken with students. Central Placement candidates foreign trade Program, TYT scores, higher education programs about the preferences and quotas and conditions of this program, taking into consideration the ÖSYM. Students are placed in the foreign trade Program records within the framework set by osym calendar made by the Registrar's Office.
Double Major–Minor ProgramsEducational process is a successful University students in İstanbul who had Ash, set conditions if they are to provide the Department simultaneously read in another section, they can see more learning. Students who have successfully completed the double major program, are eligible to receive two separate associate's degree.
InternshipThere is a compulsory internship for 40 workdays.
Graduation RequirementsIn order to graduate from the program students must have at least 2,00 GPA out of 4,00 and 120 ECTS.
International CooperationsFor graduates wishing to continue their education abroad, Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School made agreements with Centennial College in Canada, and with Fort Hayes State University in the United States. Also, students have the opportunity to be an exchange student and make internship abroad through the ERASMUS Program.
Occupational Profiles Of GraduatesThis program provides students opportunity to become the members of a qualified contemporary human resource, to have new business rules knowledge and workforce the businesses need, and use technology effectively and monitor new developments of the Foreign Trade. An internship is the important part of the vocational education. The duration of the internship is 40 days. An internship that will be done after the second year helps the students to comprehend the 2nd term’s courses more effectively.
Access to Further Studies Transfer to Bachelor Degree is determined by the Law in Offical Newpaper Dated 02.19.2002 and Numbered 24676.
According to regulation on the continuation of graduates of vocational schools to Bachelor Degree and principles that the council of Higher Education determined, vertical transfer exam and placement of graduates of vocational school students to bachelor degree is executed by ÖSYM.
Students who graduated from the Foreign Trade Program can make the vertical transfer to bachelor degree to enhance their training to upper level. Vertical Transfer Areas

Departmental FacilitiesIn İncirli Campus, we have updated PC labs, amfi salons for seminars.
Program Activities In Foreign Trade Program, students visit customs areas, and some trade companies. Also, some seminars are organized on business skills, trading activities.
