Program Objectives

 Civil Air Transport Management is an academic discipline that trains management candidates who are equipped with foreign language and basic aviation knowledge and have the qualifications to work successfully in domestic and foreign companies in the rapidly developing aviation industry.

 

The main goal of civil air transportation management in the aviation industry is for national and international organizations to successfully train base administrative candidates equipped with advanced foreign language, business and aviation knowledge.

 

Ground and passenger services officer is responsible within the framework of international rules and airline standards, from passengers entering the terminal to boarding the plane; They are the people responsible for all ticket, baggage and passport control procedures, and for greeting passengers upon arrival and directing them to passport control. The duty of the passenger services officer is double-sided, such as welcoming the arriving passenger by plane (arrival) and handling the departure of the passenger by plane (departure). Internship

In today's global world, countries have developed levels of knowledge and trained human resources are measured by. Turkey is the most important issues of unemployment at the beginning. However, companies that need to be just as qualified staff is an important issue. Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate from the program students must have at least 2,00 GPA out of 4,00 and 120 ECTS.Our program provides the opportunity to enter undergraduate departments with the DGS exam. The Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), which is held once a year by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), enables candidates who have completed their internship and graduated from the associate degree departments of any university or who are able to graduate to transfer to undergraduate education. It is a multiple choice exam they take for.

DGS consists of a total of 120 questions, 60 in mathematics and 60 in Turkish. During the 150-minute exam period, candidates are asked to solve questions prepared to measure numerical and verbal reasoning skills, which are effective in success in undergraduate education. There are also ten logic questions for both sections. The questions in the DGS, which aims to measure the acquired knowledge and skills, can be answered by students who have studied in different associate degree departments.

International Cooperations

For graduates wishing to continue their education abroad, Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School of  made agreements with Centennial College in Canada, and with Fort Hayes State University in the United States. Also, students have opportunity to be exchange student and make internship abroad through ERASMUS Program.

This program provides students to be members of qualified contemporary human resources, to have new business rules knowledge and workforce the businesses need, and use technology effectively and monitor new developments the Foreign Trade. Internship is the important part of vocational education. The duration of internship is 40 days. Internship that will be done after the second year helps the comprehension of the 2nd term’s courses.
