Course Goals

 - Gaining the necessary theoretical background with concepts of stress and strain for engineering design courses


 -To teach force systems and balance of objects.

- Awareness of the effects of the mechanical properties of materials on behavior and design  

- To be able to examine isostatic and hyperstatic rod systems under the effect of simple strength states
