Course Goals
To give the ability for using any kind of word processing and presentation softwares for their academic or business life. Students will learn how the computers are used in business world and the most important futures of word processing and presentation softwares.
  Concepts of Information and Communication Technology: This section is about the main concepts of  physical structure of a personal computer, data storage, ram and mostly used software applications.    Computer Usage and File Management: This section is about the usage of a personal computer and main functions of an operating system. The goals of this section are; understanding Desktop environment and learn how to organize, copy, move and delete folders. Furthermore the goals can be listed as working with desktop icons, management of windows, usage of search, correction and printing tools within the operation system.    Word Processing (Microsoft Word):This section is about using word processing on a personal computer. At the end of this section it is aimed to be able to do fundamental processes such as forming a document, formating a document and ending word processing distribution. In addition it is aimed to gain advanced skills such as creating standard tables, using pictures and captures within a text, preparing text documents and books for professional studies.   Preparing a Presentation (Microsoft Power Point): This section aims to gain efficiency skills to use presentation tools in computer environment. It is aimed to accomplish fundamental tasks about generating, formatting, preparing a presentation for distribution and displayment. In addition it is aimed to gain skills about performing fundamental processes about graphics and charts and efficiently using presentation tools.

1. Week In this section, professional texts will be created using the word processing application. Microsoft Word is a word processing application, which you can create and form documents with speed and efficiency. Styles, Table of Contents, Columns, drop cap, clip art, Footnote, Endnote, index. 3. Week Microsoft Power Point. Lectures and application, Oral Presentation.
4. Week Chart, table, table of figures, caption. Lectures and application, Oral Presentation.
5. Week Smart Art, Word Art, Shapes, bibliography, hyperlink. Lectures and application, Oral Presentation.
6. Week Tabs. Microsoft Office displays commands in a series of icons stored on different tabs. This combination of icons and tabs is known as the Ribbon interface, which appears in Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Word Application: Share. Lectures and application, Oral Presentation.
