Program Objectives
Mission of the Alternative Energy Resources Program; To raise individuals that the sector will need, have all kinds of knowledge and skills related to their field, have team spirit, are self-confident, follower and implementers of innovations.
EstablishmentAlternative Energy Resources Technology Program was established in 2019 within the body of Istanbul Kultur University Vocational School. Our program, which was opened with a quota of 40 students in the 2019-2020 academic year, currently provides 2-year associate degree education with 4 instructors. Those who successfully complete their education will be awarded an "Alternative Energy Resources Technology" associate degree diploma.
Qualification Awarded Students who successfully complete all the courses in the 2-year education plan and have at least 120 ECTS are awarded an associate degree in Alternative Energy Resources Technology.

Admission and Registration Requirements40 students are accepted to the Alternative Energy Resources Technology program through the Central Placement Exam conducted by ÖSYM. In the Central Placement, candidates are placed in the Alternative Energy Resources Technology Program by ÖSYM, taking into account their TYT scores, their preferences for higher education programs, and the quotas and conditions of these programs. .
Double Major–Minor Programs Alternative Energy Resources Technology Program students have the opportunity to double major with other associate degree programs. For detailed information, information can be obtained from the program chair.

Internship Istanbul Kültür University Alternative Energy Resources Technology Program students; They are obliged to do an internship for 40 working days in order to see the application areas of their profession in the field and to use the knowledge they have gained during the education
Graduation Requirements Successfully completing all courses in the program (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS)
To complete, it is necessary to obtain a weighted grade average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
International Cooperations Through our university's ERASMUS office, our successful students are given the opportunity to go abroad with Erasmus student mobility and Erasmus student internship mobility programs.
Occupational Profiles Of Graduates Students who graduated from alternative energy resources technology program; They can work in every field of renewable energy, from wind turbines to solar cells and geothermal energy, both public and private institutions and organizations operating in the field of energy production and distribution in the sector, organizations that produce goods based on energy technology, or organizations that produce maintenance and service services for all these technologies. Apart from this, they can also be employed in energy-based environmental technology producers or service producers in the related field.

Departmental FacilitiesIn the Alternative Energy Resources Technology program, our courses are carried out with lecturers with industry experience, with a focus on project and homework applications in the light of lectures and theoretical knowledge. In addition, with our 40-day compulsory internship practice, our students have the opportunity to learn the applications of what they have learned at school in the markets.
Program Activities Seminars are held in order to get our students together with the authorities in the energy sector, whom we interviewed during our education period. Apart from this, studies are continuing to provide the opportunity to see the planned wind turbines and solar panels closely with our students. The information we have received from the authorities in the energy sector is that well-trained qualified Alternative Energy technicians and employees are needed, in this context, we aim to provide information and training about each alternative energy source with our course content.
