The aim of this course is to equip students with knowledge and critical understanding of the complex interplay between international trade law and environmental law. The course will introduce the underlying normative framework on mutual supportiveness between international trade and environmental policies and thereafter, will examine WTO rules. In the course, mutual learning and constructive exchange on the ‘trade-and-environment’ debate will be explained and the students will be encouraged to discuss existing conflicts between international trade law and environmental policies.
