Course Goals
This course aims at developing students’ translation skills, putting special emphasis on the techniques of translation as well as the issues that surround the translation of literary texts. The course provides special focus to the culture-specific problems that appear both in translation from English and the Turkish languages.

Teaching Methods and Techniques -Actual translations in class as well as written assignments, analyses of the texts to be translated, presentations, classroom discussions.
Principle Sources -Depending on the focus of the topics to be covered each term, different reading lists will be provided by the tutor.
