Nutrigenomics

Course Goals To discuss the role of macro and micronutrients on gene expression levels, to explain the concept of functional food, to define the concepts of nutrigenomics and nutrigenetics, to analyze the relationship between individuals' genotypic characteristics and nutrient requirements for chronic diseases, to identify the relevant molecular signal pathways, the role of lipid metabolism and nutrient lipids in the health-care axis of the disease are presented with examples and articles.
