Industrial Relations

Course CodeSemester Course Name LE/RC/LA Course Type Language of Instruction ECTS
IKT0038 Industrial Relations 2/0/0 DE Turkish 4
Course Goals
This course is an introduction to the field of industrial relations. We will spend most of our time on how employers and employees interact under the bargaining regime of technology-driven transformation. Our focus will be on Industry 4.0 examples and relationships, but we will also examine some aspects of industrial relations systems around the world. There is some degree of conflict inherent in the employment relationship, as parallel and vertical relationships in industry often have different interests. Therefore, we will study an ongoing process of conflict and harmonization as we negotiate the boundaries of the real world of work, different actors, managers and employees.
