Program Objectives
Istanbul Kültür University Computer Engineering Doctorate Program aims for research engineers and engineers who can conduct scientific research in their fields of expertise in Computer Engineering, who can evaluate the technological developments of their field from a scientific perspective, who contribute to the development of science and technology for the benefit of humanity, who consider the needs of society in research and development activities, and who have academic ethical awareness.
EstablishmentThe Computer Science PhD Program was opened in the 2023-2024 academic year. The Computer Science PhD Program was established to provide advanced skills for those seeking quality research in this field.
Qualification AwardedStudents who have successfully completed all the requirements of the education plan and completed 240 ECTS in a four-year period are awarded a doctorate degree in Computer Engineering.
Language of Instruction Turkish. However, Master's students are expected to have a good command of English in order to conduct research and follow current studies closely.

Admission and Registration RequirementsIn order to apply to the Computer Engineering Doctorate Program, candidates must have a bachelor's degree or a master's degree with thesis. Those who apply with a master's degree must have an ALES score of 55 or above, and those who apply with a bachelor's degree must have a numerical ALES score of 80 or above. Those who apply to the PhD program with a bachelor's degree must have a bachelor's degree average of at least 3 out of 4 or an equivalent score. Those who apply with a master's degree must have a master's GPA of at least 2.5 out of 4 or an equivalent score. Applicants will be required to provide a score document showing that at least 55 points have been obtained from one of YÖKDİL or YDS for English proficiency. Applicants must not have been previously dismissed from any master's or doctoral program due to disciplinary offenses.
In addition, the ALES requirement will not be required for admission to postgraduate programs for foreign national candidates and Turkish citizen candidates residing abroad, and T.R. Istanbul Kültür University Senate decisions will be implemented.

YDS: 15%
Interview: 20%
Undergraduate/Master's Grade Point Average: 15%

InternshipThere is no internship requirement in the program.
Graduation RequirementsStudents must successfully complete a minimum of 240 ECTS credits of courses and their theses.
