Program Objectives
The aim of the Pre-School Education Master's Program is; The aim is to provide the student with the ability to conduct independent research, to interpret scientific events with a broad and deep perspective, and to determine the necessary steps to reach new inferences. In addition, young researchers who can comprehend all the concepts and methods of educational science, have the ability to interpret real-life experiences in a scientific and rational way, have a say in their own field of study, contribute to national and international projects, and transfer their knowledge to the scientific world through publications such as papers, articles, and books. to train faculty members. The Pre-School Education Master's program aims to increase the quality of pre-school education on a national and international basis, by providing an opportunity for our young people who aim for an academic career to evaluate and develop their knowledge and skills efficiently.
Establishment The program was opened in 2021 and started education.

Mode of Education The program is carried out between 6 to 9 p.m. on 5 days a week.
Admission and Registration Requirements - To graduate from Preschool Teaching, Child Development, Psychology, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, Special Education 4-year undergraduate programs.
- It is necessary to enter ALES within the past five years and to get a minimum score of 55 from the Verbal or EA score group.
- YDS/e-YDS/YÖKDİL or foreign language exams accepted as equivalent by YÖK or having taken the Foreign Language Entrance Exam given by IKU Foreign Languages Department are required.
Double Major–Minor Programs The program does not have a Double Major and Minor.
Internship Internship is not required in the program.
Graduation Requirements To take courses that are present in the department of 120 AKTS and to reach at least 2.70 GPA over 4.00, to prepare a master, present it in front of judges and be successful.

Departmental FacilitiesIn the program, theoretical and practical courses are given by faculty members who are experts in their fields, and field experience is reinforced with practical assignments.
Program Activities Our program has an academic calendar consisting of 28 weeks (excluding Final Exams) in the fall and spring terms. A total of 11 courses are given in the fall and spring semesters. Our students with thesis take 5 compulsory and 6 elective courses. In order for our students to graduate, they must also be successful in the seminar course and thesis management courses.
