Program Objectives
Masters Programme is designed for those who would like to specialise in Art Management and for those who have completed their previous studies on different fields. Students who do a postgraduate degree in Art Management graduate having acquired skills in performing arts, contemporary art management, performance design and artistic evaluation.
EstablishmentBased on the act of 4281, the department recruited its first students in 2002-2003 academic year after the opening of Art and Design Faculty under the conduct of Dr. Nüket Güz (Dean) at the main building of Şirinevler Campus. In 2004, the faculty moved to Ataköy Campus and the department has been functioning since then with a rising number of students.The department awarded students for the first time in 2005-06 academic year.Art Management Postgraduate Programme has also been functioning under the direction of Institute of Social Sciences since 2002-03.
Qualification AwardedStudents who successfully complete the courses in 2016-17 (over 2 years) academic programme and complete 120 ECTS are awarded with a Masters Degree. In spring and autumn semesters, students are enrolled to 4 compulsory and 2 elective courses.

Admission and Registration Requirements Candidates have to hold a full time Bachelor’s Degree and required to provide an ALES result of minimum 55.

Applicants also need to provide the receipt for registration fee.
For the completion of application;
Applicants are required to fill in a Student ID form and provide the originals of documents listed above together with a certificate of residence, a notarized copy of birth certificate, 6 passport photos and the receipt for the first payment of the tuition fee.
All payments can be done at University Finance Affairs. For payments in installments, the debtor should make an application to the bank with documents of property, a certificate of residence and a bill (electricity, gas, water...etc). Payments can also be done by credit card.
Students who do not hold a relevant graduate degree might need to attend a preparatory period whose the dates are assigned by the department.
Students are required to write a thesis in order to graduate.
Courses are on week day mornings.
All programmes require the applicants to take a Foreign Language Assessment Exam and go through a departmental evaluation and interview process.
Applications are done twice a year.

Graduation RequirementsStudents have to get a minimum CGPA of 2.70 out off 4.0 to be deemed successful in the courses which are 120 ECTS in total. In addition, they are required to write a thesis.

Access to Further Studies Students who successfully complete their masters programme can have access to PHD studies. In addition, students who do a masters degree at İKÜ can get postgraduate courses from the art management departments of other universities once confirmed by the department.
Departmental Facilities Faculty of Arts and Design is located at an area of 3000m2 the joint use amphitheathers are open to the departmental use. There are 24 classrooms within the faculty and 13 of them are 30m2, 10 of them are 45 m2 and one of them is 80m2. These classrooms have projections and internet connection. The Faculty can host 650 students. Arts Management activities also take place at Akıngüç Auditorium, Önder Öztunalı Conferance Hall, the art galleries and studios of the university.
Students can also benefit from the library at Ataköy Campus. The library is located at an area of 560m2 and it can serve 170 students at the same time with a capacity of 25.000 books in total at two storeys.
The interdisciplinary structure of the department is supported by lecturers and teaching fellows specialised in different areas such as art, art history, administration and public relations.

Program Activities
Students have the opportunity to join the activities of student clubs , galleries, conferences and exhibitions at Akıngüç Auditorium, Önder Öztunalı Conferance Hall and art galleries at the university.
