The aim of the course is to teach computer graphic technologies and hardware and software applications of these technologies by using animation and rendering techniques. Rendering, animation and virtual reality technologies are based on computer graphic technologies. People who use this techiques profesionally must know computer graphic principles. In the scope of the course, modelling techniques and the transformation of them is explained. Lighting, raytracing, radiosity mehods and advanced material techniques is explained. The information about animation techniques and kinematics is given to the students. The features of human movement are explained. Examples of virtual reality are discussed. A case study, which based on 3 dimensonal modelling, virtual reality and lighting simulation, is conducted at the end of the course. It is aimed to experience the difference between various animation and rendering techniques visually with this study.
