Development in information technology (IT) and information systems (IS) in general, and effects of IT/IS on construction industry will be studied. Particularly, IS used in various phases of Building Production Process, distributed IS used in different phases for individual disciplines versus integrated IS which enables to use to the data collected from different disciplines for an integrated project management will be studied conceptually. Some of the existing computerised models used in building planning/programming/reporting like MS Project, Primavera, Sure Track, collaboration software as Autodesk-NavisWorks, Graphisoft BIM Server, TeamWork, Nemetscheck will be studied with their logical structure and a small scaled case study will be realised in the studio.
