Program Objectives
The basic aim of Logistics Programme in Istanbul Kultur University is to educate well-qualified management trainees to be the master in the fields of foreign trade, customs and transportation that can work in both national and international area.
EstablishmentIstanbul Kultur University, Logistics Programme of Vocational School was founded in 2008, accepted its first students in 2008-2009 academic year and gave its first graduates in 2010.
The programme has began its academic activities in Sirinevler Campus, along with the increasing number of students the education continues in Incirli Campus since 2009-2010 Academic Year.
phD. Damla Ayhan has been the director of the program since 2010.
Qualification AwardedStudents who have successfully completed all courses and had at least 120 ECTS, has the associate degree.
Language of Instruction Turkish
Mode of EducationIn the fall term of 2020-2021 Academic Year, although lessons has been planned in a formal learning way in advance, it has been decided to practice digital distant learning (online sessions) method rather than formal learning method because of the COVID-19 for the lesson regarding the recommendations by Council of Higher Education.Therotical parts of the lessons will be given via CATs V3 and supported by academic and sectoral webinars. If it is possible, applied courses about the lessons will be given via CATs V3 digitally too. If it is not, they will be given in a way of hybrid model alternately according to the changes in the pandemic conditions in the last part of fall term of 2020-2021.
Admission and Registration RequirementsAccepting students to the programs of Vocational School, is made through the central placement exam which is organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
In central placement, candidates are placed by ÖSYM according to their Student Selection Examination scores and program quotas.
The students’ registration is made by the Student Affairs Office within the framework of the calendar set by OSYM.
Double Major–Minor ProgramsAs a result of the evaluation of the applications made at certain periods of their education. Students, who succesfully complete the Double Minor program and receive the right to the Associate degree of both departments, are given two separate Associate diplomas.
InternshipThere is compulsory internship for 40 work days.
Graduation RequirementsIn order to graduate from the program students must have at least 2,00 GPA out of 4,00 and 120 ECTS.
International CooperationsFor graduates wishing to continue their education abroad, Istanbul Kultur University Vocational School made agreements with Centennial College in Canada, and with Fort Hayes State University in the United States. Also, students have opportunity to be exchange student and make internship abroad through ERASMUS Program.
Occupational Profiles Of GraduatesLogistics Programme graduates can continue their career in public and private enterprises that works in logistics sector.
Access to Further Studies Transfer to Bachelor Degree is determined in Offical Newpaper dated 02,19,2002 and numbered 24676.
According to regulation on the continuation of graduates of vocational schools to Bachelor Degree and principles that the council of Higher Education determined, vertical transfer exam and placement of graduates of vocational school students to bachelor degree is executed by ÖSYM.
Students who graduated from Logistics Programme can make vertical transfer to bachelor degree to enhance their training to upper level.

Program Activities In Logistics Programme, students have visited customs area, seaport and some logistics companies. Also, some conferences and seminars are organized on business skills, trading activities.
