Course Goals
The aim of the course is to provide the student with the ability to program games at a beginner level through the stages of design, development, testing and debugging, and to develop an understanding of issues such as the principles of game design, game programming terminology, technologies that form the basis of modern game engines, and management of team projects. Since various fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Physics, Learning, Mathematics, Human Computer Interaction and Computer Graphics are also used in game programming, it can be said that another and important aim of the course is to give the student a multidisciplinary perspective in computer science.
Purpose of the training: This training is designed as a practical use training of the Unity 3D engine, which is a real-time simulation application with mobile and desktop games. The training covers the explanation of the techniques used in game development and the basics of coding game features. The entire training is hands-on, and four different game designs and various Virtual and Augmented Reality simulations will be implemented during the curriculum.
