Course Goals
 The functioning of the tourism system; definitions of tourist, travel agency, tour operator; annual work schedules of tour operators; distribution channels of travel businesses; types of tours, employees involved in the realization of the tour. Travel agencies, tour operators, local tour operators and travel agents, tour operators and travel agency relations, differences between travel agencies and tour operators, annual work schedules of tour operators, purchasing operations of tour operators, tour planning, destination selection, considerations in destination selection factors, calculation of tour costs, realization of the tour (arrival at the destination, transfer, info cocktail, day trips, etc.), importance of promotional activities.
