This course provides the student with knowledge on the different approaches applied by organizations to manage the performance of their employees. It focuses on the underlying mechanisms in individuals and organizations that lead to high performance. Recent developments in performance management are discussed. The course also aims at developing a critical attitude towards common managerial practices in performance management.
