MIM0002 2 ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN II 2/6/0 CC TURKISH 8
Course Goals

In MTS II studio, it is aimed to transfer and develop the sense of environment / place and space with a design problem consisting of closed, open / semi-open spaces with simple programs. In this context, it is expected that taking part in studio works as an individual or group member and all projects in the studio are open to sharing and criticism, will be effective in the development of student's social and architectural communication skills.

Teaching Methods and Techniques

The course is based on studio studies (applications and assignments) with the participation of the students. Includes presentations, drawing applications and homework.

Students develop their drawing and design skills in the process, and the studio provides a dynamic and experimental environment in which the student reinterprets and explores the concepts of space, perception, environment, material, structure, form, context, content. These discoveries are recorded over the period and delivered in the end-of-term portfolio.

During the semester, there are two separate projects and analysis and data collection activities in which students develop individual and group work skills.
