Course Goals
Ultimate aim of this course is to raise an awareness on the necessity of undertaking projects not having only economic impact but also having social value. Also enabling course participants to think some basic problems that have not yet been solved, but to be solved and to produce innovative solutions through developing new projects are among the aims of this course. In this capacity, it is aimed to understand the value of social entrepreneuship,realize some associations with other concepts and detecting specific differences.Also, creating social value and contributing to dissipate that value country-wide and at later stages world-wide would be the main topics of the course.

Program Outcomes
PO-1Demonstrates a basic level of understanding in related disciplines (such as economics, sociology, psychology, quantitative sciences, etc.) that form a foundation for business administration, and makes use of and applies them to the field of business.

Learning Outcomes
LO-1Having a solid grasp of conceptual framework on social entrepreneurship.

LO-3Beside absorbing the methodology of entrepreneurship, being equipped with fundamental knowledge, important skills and relevant competencies for being a social entrepreneur.
LO-4Will be able to measure the impact of existing social enterprises and analyze them using relevant techniques.
LO-5In todays world of obsessive consumption and of emerging need to persevere the resources for the sake of the humanity, students will go beyond the short-term mentality and start to think about what is possible in the long term and will experience a paradigm shift.
