Basic principles of sound and architectural acoustics (sound absorption, sound transmission, sound isolation, sound insulation) will be defined and the relationship between sound, architecture, human health and psychology will be discussed within the scope of this course. Also, auditory comfort, noise control and room acoustics (echo, reverberation etc.) are the other main subjects of the course. Students who successfully complete this course will have the knowledge of basics of acoustical design and gain competence in designing and drawing acoustical design project.
