Course Goals
The aim of this course is to help students develop basic communication skills in Spanish and enable them to express themselves in simple situations they may encounter in daily life. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand simple conversations using basic language structures at the A1 level, communicate using short and simple sentences, and demonstrate basic reading and writing skills.


Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

1. Listening:

·        Understand simple Spanish expressions spoken slowly and clearly.

·        Recognize commonly used words and expressions in everyday life (greetings, introductions, numbers, time expressions, etc.).

2. Speaking (Spoken Interaction & Production)

·        Introduce themselves (name, age, occupation, nationality, etc.).

·        Ask and answer simple questions.

·        Talk about daily routines and basic needs using short and simple sentences.

3. Reading

·        Understand short and simple texts (announcements, messages, emails, dialogues).

·        Recognize basic vocabulary and expressions and identify the main idea of a text.

4. Writing

·        Write short and simple sentences.

·        Produce a short paragraph about themselves.

·        Fill in simple forms (name, address, nationality, etc.).

5. Grammar and Vocabulary

·        Use basic grammatical structures (e.g., ser/estar, regular verbs, basic tense structures).

·        Use basic vocabulary related to everyday life (family, numbers, time, places, food, etc.).

6. Communicative Competence

·        Use appropriate expressions in simple social interactions (greeting, thanking, requesting, etc.).

·        Develop strategies such as asking for repetition or clarification when communication breaks down.
