| Course Goals |
The aim of this course is to help students develop basic communication skills in the target language and enable them to express themselves clearly and appropriately in everyday situations. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand simple conversations and use basic grammatical structures such as noun cases (-in, -e, -de, -ile), past and future tenses to communicate about daily life, plans, and personal experiences. They will also develop basic reading and writing skills.
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1. Listening
Understand noun cases (-in, -e, -de, -ile) and basic grammatical structures in slow and clear speech.
Grasp the main idea of simple conversations about daily life, plans, and past experiences.
Follow expressions containing commonly used verbs such as “to come,” “to go,” “to be,” and “to work” in past and future tenses.
Understand simple sentences expressing necessity (e.g., “must/need to”) and those containing connectors such as “while/when.”
2. Reading
Recognize the use of noun cases (including possessive constructions) in short and simple texts.
Understand the main idea of texts related to daily life, plans, and basic needs.
Read short texts containing past and future tense and extract key information.
Identify simple and compound sentence structures.
3. Spoken Interaction
Talk about past actions using simple expressions (e.g., “I came,” “I went”).
Express future plans and intentions using short and simple sentences.
Communicate about everyday topics such as age, months, and food and drinks.
Ask and answer simple questions using correct noun cases (e.g., from where, to where, where, with whom).
Express opinions using basic verbs such as “to like.”
Express necessity using structures such as “must/need to.”
Form short and simple compound sentences using basic connectors (e.g., “while/when”).
4. Writing
Write short and simple sentences using past and future tenses.
Produce short texts about daily routines, plans, and personal information.
Use noun cases (-in, -e, -de, -ile) correctly in written communication.
Fill in simple forms and write short paragraphs.
Create clear and simple texts using basic connectors and grammatical structures.
