This course aims to familiarise students with business communication with an introduction to this interdisciplinary field. The why, what, and how of intercultural communication is studied. The course provides a survey of some key cultural dimensions, and focuses on the intercultural aspect of communication skills that business people need to function effectively at work. It also includes examples from a selection of cultures of special interest to the business community, and provides hints on ways of training people to develop intercultural skills.
