Our aim is to provide the student with the knowledge in conceptual, problem solving and decision making levels for the design, planning, and controlling of manufacturing and service operations so as to improve productivity and efficiency. We also aim that, during the course of lectures, having been provided with the relationship between operations and other functional areas such as marketing and sales, the student will understand the role and importance of production management in both the day-to-day activity of an organisation and the long- term strategy.
