Program Objectives
At Istanbul Kultur University, Vocational School of Technical Studies, Electronic technologies Associate Degree Program, It has been aimed to educate and train qualified operatives equipped with professional competences meeting the demands of the sector in the field of Electronic technologies.
EstablishmentT.C. Istanbul Kultur University is a foundation University with a public legal entity, founded with the parliamentary act #4281,on July 15, 1997. It carries out its academic and educational activities in accordance with The Higher Education Act #2447 and bears all rights and authorities that a state university has. As an urban university the facilities at Sirinevler Campus, Offices, classrooms, auditoriums and laborataries have been built and equipped with the utmost care.
In addition to Şirinevler Campus, The Ataköy Campus- with a total of 65.000 square meter area: 40.000 square meter indoors and 25.000 square meter outdoors facilities, have entered into service in 2004 - 2005 Academic Year. Within that campus a sports complex has been given into service as well as facilites for scientific and social activities. In 2009-2010 Academic Year, Another 6000 square meter campus was opened for the Vocational Schools of Higher education. IKU School of Technical Studies have been continuing instruction at the Incirli Campus with its experienced academic staff.

Admission and Registration Requirements50 (fifty) students are admitted to the Electronic Technologies Programme by OSYM, through the Centralized Placement Test conducted by Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM). Candidates are placed in the Electronic Technologies Program according to their YGS-1 scores, students' preferences and the quota and the admittance conditions of the programme. Students are registered to the programme in the Registrar's office within the framework of the calender stated by OSYM. The program has a scholarship quota of 5 100%, 35 50% and 5 25%.
Double Major–Minor Programs
InternshipEach student has to fulfil his mandatory internship of total 40 weekdays.
Graduation RequirementsThe student must successfully complete all courses (equivalent of total 120 ECTS) that take place in the two year education plan. In order to complete all the courses in the program successfully, the student must have at least 2.00 on a 4.00 weighted grade point average.
International CooperationsSome of our graduates have already started their Bachelor's Degree completion programmes within the framework of Cooperation Agreements between İstanbul Kultur University and Fort Hays State University and Ball State University in the United States, and Sofia Technic in Bulgaria. Additionally,successful students are given the chance of
studying abroad with ERASMUS student mobility and internship mobility programmes.
Occupational Profiles Of GraduatesGraduates of Electronic technologies programme bear the title of "Electronic Technologies technician." They can find chances of employment in a vast area including production management, maintaneance, repair and control of technical appliances developed through computers and contemporary technology.

Departmental FacilitiesWithin the Electronic Technologies programme, students have access to microprocessor laboratory, PIC Basic Laboratory, Digital Electronics Laboratory,Analog Electronics laborotory and PC Laboratory. Experience gained in laboratory helps them adapt better in real life systems during their internship and professional periods. Intrnship abroad is also possible for the students within the ERASMUS programme.
