The vision of the Construction Technology Program is to educate students not merely as consumers of knowledge, but as competent professionals who process and apply knowledge through laboratory activities and project-based studies; who can assume high levels of responsibility in construction supervision and site coordination processes without compromising ethical values; and who are trusted by the construction industry. The program aims to establish an innovative educational ecosystem that prepares future construction professionals who are competent in a wide spectrum of fields ranging from computer-aided design processes to smart construction site management, sensitive to environmental concerns, and committed to sustainable construction practices while leading the technological transformation of the construction industry.
2. Program Mission
The mission of the Construction Technology Program is to provide the technical competencies required by the construction sector through innovative methodologies that place students at the center of the learning process. The program structures its courses through site-based scenarios, project-based learning activities, and interactive laboratory experiences, ensuring that theoretical knowledge is transformed into practical skills applicable in real-world construction environments.
In this context, the program integrates computer-aided design software and modern construction technologies into its educational model at a professional level, preparing students for the continuously evolving world of work. By enhancing their ability to process and apply knowledge, the program aims to educate active practitioners capable of generating effective solutions to technical problems.
Furthermore, by incorporating construction supervision regulations and occupational health and safety standards into every stage of education, the program is committed to preparing technically competent professionals who prioritize public safety and adhere to ethical principles.
3. Program Educational Objectives
Within a few years after graduation, graduates of the Construction Technology Program are expected to:
PEA1. Perform construction site applications, quantity surveying and progress payment procedures, laboratory testing activities, and technical drawing processes in accordance with professional standards.
PEA2. Contribute effectively to technical drawing and project development processes by utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
PEA3. Fulfill their professional responsibilities as ethical practitioners with a strong understanding of construction supervision regulations and occupational health and safety requirements.
PEA4. Demonstrate effective communication skills in both construction site and office environments and work successfully within multidisciplinary teams.
PEA5. Pursue continuous professional development and adapt to emerging construction technologies, such as prefabrication systems, 3D printing technologies, and other innovative industry practices.

Alignment of Program Educational Objectives with MEDEK
Criterion
Description (Program Status)
The program must define its educational objectives and make them publicly available.
The program's five educational objectives (PEO1: Professional Practice Competence, PEO2: Digital Design and Technology Utilization, PEO3: Professional Ethics and Occupational Safety, PEO4: Analytical Problem Solving and Communication, PEO5: Professional Development and Lifelong Learning) have been clearly defined. These objectives are transparently shared with the public through the program website, academic package (ECTS), and promotional materials.
The program must have Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and document the achievement of its educational objectives.
Quantitative and qualitative KPIs have been established for each educational objective. For PEO1, success rates in core construction courses are monitored; for PEO2, technical drawing and laboratory applications; for PEO3, Occupational Health and Safety course performance and employer feedback; for PEO4, project-based learning outcomes and student satisfaction data; and for PEO5, DGS placement rates and participation in professional training activities are systematically tracked.
The educational objectives must be aligned with MEDEK, institutional, and vocational school missions and visions.
The educational objectives are fully aligned with the institution’s vision of educating qualified technical professionals, fostering a culture of quality, and establishing strategic collaboration with the construction industry. The program supports the vocational school’s practice-oriented educational philosophy and ensures the balance of knowledge, skills, and competencies required by the construction sector.
The process for achieving the educational objectives must be defined, and an appropriate assessment and evaluation system must be established.
The process for achieving the educational objectives is structured through the chain: PEO → Program Outcomes → Courses → Assessment and Evaluation → KPI. The assessment and evaluation process is conducted through theoretical examinations, technical projects, laboratory reports, technical drawing applications, internship evaluations, and stakeholder surveys (students, alumni, and employers).
The achievement level of the educational objectives must be systematically monitored.
KPI results are analyzed at the end of each academic semester and evaluated by the Program Quality Commission. Course success rates, internship performance, and graduate employment data are reviewed through the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle to ensure continuous improvement in educational quality.
The program must have a defined mission and vision that are publicly available.
The program’s technology-oriented vision and student-centered mission have been established in alignment with the university’s institutional goals. This information is publicly available through all digital and printed promotional platforms.
Mechanisms should be established and implemented to ensure the participation of internal and external stakeholders in educational processes.
Course evaluation surveys and academic board meetings are conducted for internal stakeholders (students and academic staff), while employer surveys and sectoral advisory meetings are organized for external stakeholders (industry representatives and alumni). Feedback obtained through these mechanisms serves as a primary source of information for revising the curriculum in accordance with current needs and developments in the construction industry.
