The aim of this course is to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of sustainability and to provide a general understanding of green architecture. Starting from a global, overarching framework, the content progressively moves through the scales of urban planning, architecture, and building materials, where the technical systems, technologies, and methods used to achieve sustainability in architecture are discussed.
